Ames Ball Plastics Manufacturing
The Challenge:
Provide Engineering and Construction services for the development of a 250,000 square foot plastics manufacturing plant in 1996 and an additional 250,000 square foot warehouse facility in 1998, all on a 30.65 acre site in Ames, Iowa.
FOX Solution:
Team with Story Construction Company in 1996 and Nathan Construction in 1998 to provide site design services including building layout, truck dock and parking lot layout, utility design, storm water management, and railroad spur design.
Results/Benefits:
The proposed buildings were located on the existing site in the most efficient way to accommodate existing site conditions as well as truck and railroad service to and from the site. The site was designed to accommodate expansion of additional buildings, parking, and railroad service.
